Collection of material pertaining to W.F. "Doc" Carver's shooting career and show, 1877-[192-?].

Photographs, scrapbook, and advertising material. The bulk of the collection consists of approximately 170 photographs, primarily of the diving platforms with and without diving horses, elk, and young women. Also included are photographs of Doc Carver, his horses, Two Feathers, and the divers. The photos are mostly undated but appear to be from the early years of the show. (According to Thorp's biography of Carver, the diving horses began in 1894 and the diving women/girls began in 1900.) The scrapbook consists of newspaper clippings ranging in date from approximately 1877 to 1881 which follow Doc Carver's career as a sharpshooter and photographs of young women and horses which are from a much later period, perhaps the 1920s.
